The Forum Tunbridge Wells

by Kay Commons on 05/24/17

So, my daughter, The Band Witch, from the age of being a small toddler until a couple of years ago, has been dragged around various music venues, grotty pubs and festivals because, I had to see a band. A couple of years ago this began to change, it's pay back time. Now I am the one being told, mum, you need to take me here or there to see a band. Do I complain? no, of course not, how can I?

For the last 18 mths she has been blogging about bands she has seen. Anyway,  I can appreciate any music if it's played well or someone is putting their heart and soul into it. It's stimulating to see musicians with a passion for what they're doing, and I love music.

Anyway, to the point. Last Thursday night I escorted The Band Witch to The Forum in Tunbridge Wells. The Forum had emailed her and asked her to review some of their bands. (proud mum).  I was mentally preparing myself for a headbanging night of Rock, Indie or punk type music. I walked into The Forum and into a really chilled vibe, tables, chairs (thank god) and candles...ooh this is a bit of me I thought.

I got myself a little glass of wine, sat back and enjoyed the music. It was time for the headline act, the next big thing apparently. This small framed skinny young guy with long fine blonde hair comes onto the stage. Isaac Gracie. I didn't know what to expect and certainly didn't expect what came next.

I was literally blown away by his vocals, I certainly wasn't expecting this on a Thursday night in Tunbridge Wells! He was a joy and a pleasure to listen too, I was totally absorbed, and anticipating the next word or sound to come from him. The depth and power of this beautiful harmonious voice was just amazing. It was a moving and emotional experience. I cannot wait to see him again! He really is worthy of being the next big thing...I hope he goes far.
